About Us
Hi, I’m Sarah — and this is the story of me and my golden retriever, Biscuit.
My Golden Retriever Life started the way a lot of blogs do: with a dog I love and a lot of questions. When Biscuit started slowing down on our walks and scratching more than usual, I did what any worried dog mom does — I went looking for answers online. What I found was overwhelming. Endless products, breathless promises, and very little honest information about what actually works in real life, for a real dog, over months rather than minutes.
So I decided to document the journey myself. This site is my honest record of the supplements we have actually tried together — what Biscuit tolerated, what he turned his nose up at, what seemed to make a difference, and what turned out to be a waste of money. I am not a veterinarian or a scientist. I am a pet owner sharing what it is really like, the good and the messy, so that other golden retriever parents (and dog people of every breed) can make more informed choices.
My promise to you is simple: I only write about what we have genuinely lived through, I tell you when something did not work, and I always remind you to loop in your own vet. Biscuit and I are in this together, and I am glad you are here.
Meet the Team
Sarah — Author & Dog Mom. I research, test, and write about every product on this site from firsthand experience with Biscuit. What you read is what we actually went through.
Biscuit — Chief Testing Officer & Golden Retriever. The heart of this blog and the reason it exists. Biscuit’s honest reactions (and occasional refusals) keep me truthful.
Why Trust Me
I may not have letters after my name, but I believe honesty is its own credential:
- Real experience. Every review comes from supplements Biscuit and I have actually used, over real periods of time.
- The whole truth. I share the failures and the flops, not just the wins, so you get a balanced picture.
- Vets first. I always encourage you to talk to your veterinarian, and I defer to professional medical advice over anything you read here.
- Clear disclosure. If I ever receive a product or earn a commission, I say so openly.
This site is a personal journal for informational purposes only and is not veterinary advice. Always consult your veterinarian before changing your dog’s diet or supplements.
