My Experience Is Not Your Dog’s Prescription

When I write that a supplement helped my golden’s digestion, or that a certain routine worked for us, that’s exactly what it is: what happened with my dogs, in my home. Dogs are individuals. What worked beautifully for mine might do nothing for yours — or might not be appropriate at all. Please treat everything here as one friend sharing her story, never as a recommendation for your dog.

Always Talk to Your Vet First

Before you give your dog any supplement, probiotic, new food, or remedy you read about here — including the stuff I rave about — please check with your veterinarian. This matters even more if your dog:

• Has a health condition or ongoing symptoms
• Is taking any medication (supplements can interact with prescriptions)
• Is a puppy, a senior, pregnant, or nursing
• Has a sensitive system or allergies

Your vet knows your dog’s history, weight, bloodwork, and needs. I know what happened in my kitchen. Your vet’s advice should always win.

No Vet-Client Relationship

Reading this blog, emailing me, or leaving a comment doesn’t create any kind of veterinary or professional relationship between us. I’m not qualified to give individual medical guidance, and I never will — and I’d gently redirect any question about your dog’s specific health right back to your veterinarian.

Emergencies

If your dog is in trouble — trouble breathing, collapse, seizures, bloating, repeated vomiting, bloody stool, or you suspect they ate something toxic — please don’t stop to read a blog post. Call your vet or the nearest emergency clinic right now. Minutes matter.

A Note on Supplements

Here’s something worth knowing: pet supplements aren’t reviewed and approved by the FDA the way medications are. Quality can vary a lot between brands, and labels don’t always tell the whole story. That’s part of why I write the detailed posts I do — but my experience with one batch of one product is not a guarantee of anything for yours.

Accuracy

I work hard to keep what I share accurate and up to date, but I’m human, products change, and research moves on. I can’t promise everything here is current or error-free, and I can’t take responsibility for decisions made based on this blog. When in doubt, verify with your vet and the manufacturer.
